Negative reproduction of a letter written by William V. Meeker to his daughter, Susie, to aid her in gaining membership in a society. The letter describes his military service in the Civil War but does not contain much information of battles or camps. It is mainly a record of when he enlisted and his promotions, based on certificates in his possession.
